Peppermint Soda

Ingredients:

• 1 cup chilled water (to be carbonated with the FIZZIT Sparkling Water Machine)
• 1 tablespoon peppermint syrup (store-bought or homemade – recipe below)
• A few fresh mint leaves for garnish
• Ice cubes
• 1 red-and-white striped straw (optional, for decoration)
• Optional: splash of lime juice for added zest

For Homemade Peppermint Syrup:

• 1 cup water
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 1 teaspoon peppermint extract

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Peppermint Syrup (if making at home)

1. Combine water and sugar in a small saucepan.
2. Heat over medium heat, stirring continuously, until the sugar dissolves completely.
3. Remove from heat and stir in peppermint extract.
4. Let the syrup cool, then transfer it to a jar or bottle. 

Step 2: Carbonate the Water Using the FIZZIT Sparkling Water Machine

1. Fill the FIZZIT bottle with chilled water to the designated line.
2. Attach the bottle to the machine according to the instructions.
3. Press the carbonation button to infuse the water with bubbles, adjusting the fizz level to your preference.
4. Carefully detach the bottle, ensuring the water remains bubbly and fresh.

Step 3: Assemble the Peppermint Soda

1. Fill a festive glass cup halfway with ice cubes.
2. Add 1 tablespoon of the peppermint syrup to the glass.
3. Slowly pour the freshly carbonated water from the FIZZIT bottle into the glass.
4. Stir gently to combine.
5. Optional: Add a splash of lime juice for an extra zesty twist.

Step 4: Garnish and Serve

1. Garnish the drink with a sprig of fresh mint and a red-and-white striped straw.
2. For a decorative touch, rim the glass with sugar or crushed candy canes.
3. Serve immediately and enjoy your fizzy, festive creation!
